These structures are dependent on retaining walls to create level ground for the house, parking area, or gardens etc. These clients needed a retaining wall 20 feet tall and 179 feet across. We used a very sturdy brand of cement blocks, called Allen Blocks, and reinforced every other layer with Geogrid.
