One of my favorite local artists is Jane Taylor, whose incredible work transforms metal and antiques into unique and inspiring pieces of art. There is something special about the way Jane takes old, unexpected materials and gives them new life through her creativity and craftsmanship.
Jane created a one-of-a-kind metal gate for one of our clients, featured below. Her passion for her craft is evident in every detail. Her work isn’t simply functional – it tells a story and adds character and personality to the landscape.

Jane’s creativity reminds me so much of my husband, Jason, and the way he approaches his stonework. I often find myself referring to him as the “Jane Taylor of stonework.” Like Jane, Jason has a unique ability to look at natural materials and envision something beautiful and unexpected.
Recently, Jason created a unique boulder wall for one of our clients. It immediately reminded me of the passion and creativity I see in Jane’s work. Rather than simply placing stones to create a wall, Jason carefully worked with the natural shapes, sizes, and character of each boulder to create something that feels like it belongs right where it is.

I love seeing how creativity can take different forms – whether it’s transforming antique metal into a beautiful gate or turning natural stone into a one-of-a-kind landscape feature. Both Jane and Jason share that same passion for creating pieces that are not only functional but also artful, personal, and inspired by the materials themselves.
We feel so fortunate to have talented local artists and craftsmen like Jane in our community, and even more fortunate to be able to incorporate that same spirit of creativity into the landscapes we create for our clients.
Art doesn’t always hang on a wall. Sometimes, it becomes part of the landscape.
