DISTINCTION – Design/Build/Installation: Residential, under $50,000

The Georgia Urban Ag Council is Georgia’s premier green industry association for professionals involved in all sectors of the industry. All the major landscape and horticulture companies in Georgia are members.

Every year Georgia Urban Ag Council give awards for landscaping projects in various categories. They offer three levels, Grand, Distinction or Merit.

Last year Art of Stone Gardening submitted two projects – one received a Distinction award and the other a Merit award in the residential categories.

The finished project was a complete, custom outdoor kitchen under a cedar arbor in Helen, GA. We installed beautiful copper gutters with a rain chain and stone drainage area at the base of the chain.

Quality construction is in the details.

A walkway to the patio was included, as was stone edging along the landscaped areas.

Stacked Stone Seating Bench Encloses Outdoor Kitchen
Stone benches provided seating and separation between the kitchen and dining areas.

A cedar arbor was built over the kitchen. The grill and big green egg are encased in stone and a prep surface offers counter space for cooking.

Stone benches were built in to provide additional seating. The patio included space for outdoor dining and entertaining with a beautiful view!
