Fire Pit Built In Into A Concrete Patio Remodeling Project

Backyard Patio Fire Pit Remodeling Project

Bonfires are year-round treats: s’mores in the summer and apple cider in the fall, sharing blankets with loved ones on cold winter nights. There is nothing like watching an open flame on a moonless night or laughing when smoke billows into a friend’s face.

Built In Fire Pit in Concrete Patio

Art of Stone excels at building all kinds of fire pits, places, and sides. Everything from elaborate, built-from-scratch outdoor fireplaces, to a simple add-on like the one above.

When it comes to fire, safety is always the number one priority. This fire pit was built in the middle of an existing patio, away from anything that could catch fire from a stray spark. This is also a great way to use ugly concrete space!

Built Concrete Patio Fire Pit

The brick that forms the inner ring is called firebrick. It is designed to withstand extreme heat and will protect the outer stone from getting too hot to the touch or cracking from the heat. You can also see the ventilation holes built into the sides of the pit to allow airflow to the fire.

Fire pits are a simple way to bring friends and family together. And when built properly, can last a lifetime.
